1. Crawler Identity

School-Infra-Scraper/1.0 is a web crawler developed and operated as part of a research project at RWTH Aachen. The crawler is used for academic research purposes only, under the supervision of M.Sc. Alexander Löbel.

2. Project Purpose

The aim of our research is to gather an overview of software used by German schools. For this, we collect some publicly available data of German schools, e.g., their homepages or the type of school.

3. Crawler Behavior

• User-Agent: school-infra-scraper/1.0 (https://si-scraper.itsec.rwth-aachen.de)
• Only publicly available information is collected or stored. We employ rate limitings to avoid overwhelming an endpoint and do not change any data on any system.
